Feeling the Digital Burnout? You’re Not Alone.
Have you ever felt like social media has become more of a draining obligation than a place of real connection? Like you’re constantly chasing algorithms, battling for visibility, and trying to keep up with an ever-changing, chaotic online world?
Same.
Right now, I’m on the verge of something huge—my brand-new website is about to go live, my course is finally launching, and my book (Single, Sexy, and Spiritual) is coming out this year. But instead of basking in excitement, I find myself asking: Do I even want to play this game anymore?
So, I’ve made a decision: I’m jumping ship.

Why I’m Done with the Social Media Circus
I didn’t always feel this way. Once upon a time, social media felt like a creative playground—a place to share, connect, and inspire. But over time, it turned into something else entirely:
☑️ A numbers game – Where posts are judged by likes, not meaning.
☑️ An algorithm trap – Where creativity gets buried unless you “play the game.”
☑️ A mental drain – Where comparison, pressure, and endless scrolling replace real inspiration.
And I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.
The thing is, I’m a writer. A creator. An artist. Not a full-time algorithm chaser. So why am I bending myself to fit a system that doesn’t even reward authenticity anymore?
This realization led me to rethink not just how I use social media, but how I build relationships with myself, my creativity, and my audience in a way that feels sustainable.
Building Healthier Relationships—Online and In Real Life
When you strip away the pressure of social media validation, you make space for something much more powerful: a deeper, healthier relationship with yourself.
That’s exactly what I’m prioritizing now—a single, sexy, spiritual relationship with myself that isn’t dependent on likes, comments, or visibility. Instead of getting caught up in external approval, I’m shifting into a place of self-trust, creativity, and joy.
💡 This means:
✔ Creating content I actually love, without stressing over algorithms.
✔ Engaging with people who align with my message, not just chasing numbers.
✔ Pouring energy into platforms that feel authentic, rather than spreading myself thin.
It also means rethinking how I nurture my creativity offline—because let’s be honest, some of the best ideas come when we step away from the screen.
Where I’m Showing Up Instead
I’m not fully disappearing from social media (I’m not about to “quit the job before finding a new one”), but I am setting up camp in places that feel better—where creativity comes first.
💡 My Website – A hub for my book, courses, and the community I’m building.
💡 My Substack – A space for deep dives, real conversations, and unfiltered thoughts.
💡 Real-Life Creativity – Because I’d rather spend time creating something meaningful than stressing over engagement rates.
For example, this evening, I’m taking myself out (in my living room) on a vision board-making date. Cacao, candles, good music, maybe even my most expensive lingerie—because why not? This is about romancing my own creativity and nurturing the kind of energy that brings my dreams to life.
If you’re tired of the social media grind, maybe it’s time to rethink where and how you show up, too.
Excerpt from My Substack: “Jumping Ship”
“At the end of the day, I am a writer. A bloody creator. Not a selfie-taker with a side of meaningless text no one will actually read. Yes, I’m an ex-model, and I do still love a good photoshoot when I have the time—but not because I’m trying to plaster my face all over the place to please some algorithm. I do it because it feeds my soul. I am an artist first and always.”
